Committed Coincidences

This is my final note on the technical side of things, at least for a while. I’ve realized the only reason I’m still paying attention to these outages is their consistency. Random glitches are easy to ignore, but a glitch that follows a schedule? That’s something else entirely. It’s the predictability that gets under your skin. If the outages stopped tomorrow, I’d be thrilled to go back to my boring job. But they aren’t stopping. They are becoming a part of the architecture of my workday. Every afternoon, the screens go dark, the clock skips, and I sit there in the silence of the control room waiting for the world to reappear. If it stays like this, I’ll probably stop posting because there’s nothing new to say. But if the pattern changes—if that one-minute gap becomes five, or if the cameras don’t come back at all—I’ll keep writing. Consistency is either a sign of a stable bug or a very patient plan.
