I was thinking today about how this blog started. It was meant to be a joke—a way to poke fun at the weirdness of a long shift. Then it became a habit, a place to vent. Now? Now it feels like a heavy responsibility. I don’t love that progression. I never asked to be the person recording the decline of my own town. I just wanted to be a nurse. But here we are. People are looking to this page for information, for comfort, or just for proof that they aren’t the only ones seeing the shadows. I can’t stop now, even though I want to. The record has a life of its own, and I’m just the one keeping the lights on.
