Still Probably Nothing

Quick update because I’ve actually had a few people message me privately asking if things have ‘escalated’ since my last post. The short answer is: they haven’t. It’s the same background level of oddness we’ve had for weeks, and the same logical explanations still apply. If anything, I’ve actually seen fewer of the really strange cases this week than I did last month. This shift in frequency actually supports my theory that this was just a blip—maybe a specific batch of contaminated drugs that moved through the area and has now been exhausted or moved on to another town. It could also just be that we were all hyper-aware for a moment, and now that the novelty has worn off, we’re seeing things more clearly. Stress does funny things to your perception, especially when you work in an environment like an A&E ward. You start looking for monsters and you’ll find them in every shadow. For now, I’m feeling a lot more grounded. The ‘undead’ are remarkably absent, and the hospital is back to its usual brand of predictable chaos. Thanks for the concern, but I think we can all take a breath. It was a weird month, but it looks like the weather is clearing.
