More Coincidences

I know I said I’d stop posting about the cameras unless it kept happening. Well, it kept happening. It’s becoming a daily occurrence now. Same cameras, same time of day, and the same silent reset that leaves no trail in the system. It’s not an outage; it’s like the system is being told to politely pretend that nothing occurred. There are no alarms, no error logs, and no flickering. One frame the street is full of people, the next frame the clock has jumped forward a minute and the recording is continuous, but the footage for that sixty seconds is simply gone. Again, I want to be clear: I am not connecting this to anything else. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, and I’m not saying there’s a man behind a curtain. I’m just documenting it because it’s my job to watch these screens, and it’s driving me mad that the one thing I’m supposed to track is disappearing. It’s like a blind spot that is slowly growing. I’ve started keeping a manual log in a notebook next to my station since the digital one is useless. It’s probably just a software bug, but it’s a very consistent one. I’ll keep you posted if the ‘blind spot’ gets any bigger.
