I found this blog through a local forum and felt like I should add my two-pence. I’m out in Marple, so I’m a bit further out from the town centre than most of you. There’s nothing dramatic happening here—no ‘zombies’ on the high street, thankfully—but I’ve noticed a change in the traffic lately. There are more police cars on the main road at night than there used to be. They aren’t flying past with sirens on, though. They are just moving slow, almost crawling, with their lights off. They don’t seem to be responding to anything obvious; they’re just… patrolling? Or watching. It’s probably just a routine ‘increased visibility’ thing because of the time of year, but it felt worth mentioning given the tone of this page. When you’re out in the sticks, you notice when the rhythm of the road changes. It’s probably nothing, like everyone says, but there’s a certain quietness to the police movement that feels a bit different than the usual Friday night patrols. Still, the hills are still here and the air is still cold. All’s well in Marple for now.
Out Here
Could be. That’s why I said probably.
That’s just Marple being Marple.
Appreciate the extra set of eyes.
