[COMMUNITY SURVIVAL GUIDE] If you are still within the Stockport perimeter, there are new rules you need to internalize if you want to stay safe. Avoid stairwells; they are confined spaces with no sightlines. Avoid crowds; they draw attention and make it harder to spot a ‘slow mover’ until it’s too late. Most importantly, avoid the assumption that noise equals safety. We were raised to think that silence is scary and loud places are safe, but here, the opposite is true. Noise is a dinner bell. Learn to appreciate the quiet. And remember: slow movement does not mean low threat. They don’t need to outrun you; they just need you to hesitate once.
