This is the last note I’m making before I archive this entire batch of system logs separately. The system is stable now. It’s wrong—deeply, fundamentally wrong—but it is stable. The outages happen like clockwork, the logs are wiped automatically, and the world carries on in the gaps. I don’t know which outcome worries me more: that the system might fail completely, or that it has successfully adapted to a state of permanent error. We are living in a glitch that has been paved over. I’m keeping these files on a thumb drive, just in case anyone ever asks what the world looked like before we decided to stop seeing it.
