I am officially done arguing hypotheticals on this blog. If everyone is so convinced that something weird is happening in the centre of town, then I’ll go have a look for myself. Not tonight, and certainly not recklessly—I’m not an idiot—but I’m going to start paying actual attention instead of just speculating from my sofa. That’s not being a ‘hero’ or being ‘reckless’; it’s just common sense. If there’s a fire, you look for smoke. If there’s a threat, you identify it. I’ve lived in Stockport my whole life and I refuse to be spooked by ‘vibes’ and internet rumours. I’ll go out, I’ll see nothing, and then I’ll come back here and tell you all to go back to sleep.
