Consistent Errors

I’ve logged another full week of camera dropouts now. It’s the same pattern, the same duration, and that same polite, infuriating nothingness in the error logs. I’m past the point of asking if this is a coincidence. You don’t get ‘coincidence’ at 3:14 PM every single day across four different camera banks. Now, the question I’m asking is: why does no one else seem curious? I’ve mentioned it to my supervisor, I’ve mentioned it to the technicians, and they all just look at me like I’m complaining about the weather. They’ve accepted it. It’s a ‘known issue’ that nobody wants to fix because it’s not technically ‘breaking’ anything. But it is breaking something—it’s breaking the record of what’s happening in this town. We are losing minutes of our history every day, and I’m the only one sitting in this dark room counting the seconds. It’s lonely being the only one who cares about the gaps.
