Predictable Failures

I’m back from my week off, and absolutely nothing has changed. The outages are still happening with the same methodical timing, and there is still a total lack of interest from anyone who is actually paid to care about the security of this town. At this point, I think I’d be more alarmed if the cameras actually started working properly. We’ve reached a state of ‘functional failure’ where the gaps in the record are just accepted as part of the landscape. It’s a weird feeling, knowing that the people in charge are perfectly happy to be blind for two minutes every hour.
