This isn’t directly related to hospital wards or strange patients, but since Alice is out here collecting ‘probably nothing’ stories, I figured I’d add mine to the pile. I work in the town centre monitoring local feeds, and I’ve had two brief CCTV dropouts this week that didn’t log properly. It’s the weirdest thing—the cameras just went dark, a total black-out for under a minute, and then they snapped back to life like nothing had happened. Usually, if there’s a power surge or a hardware fault, the system generates a massive error report or an alert on the dashboard. This time? Nothing. It could be routine maintenance that I wasn’t told about, or maybe the weather is playing havoc with the wireless relays, but it’s just… odd that it happened twice in the exact same way. It wasn’t a flicker; it was a clean cut. When the picture came back, the streets looked exactly as they had before, just sixty seconds later. It’s probably just the council’s aging tech finally giving up the ghost, but in the spirit of Undeadwatch, I’m putting it on the record. If the whole town goes dark next week, at least you’ll know where it started.
