The edges of the containment zone are unchanged today. For now. That’s all the information I have to offer. It’s a meager update, but in a town where the borders have been creeping inward for weeks, ‘unchanged’ feels like a massive victory. I drove as close to the Hazel Grove line as the barricades would allow, and the guards were still there, stone-faced and silent. The world outside is still there, just a few yards away, but it might as well be on the moon. We are holding our ground, however small that ground has become.
