Quiet Acceptance

There is no more pushback when the monitoring systems drop out now. No IT tickets are raised, no emergency meetings are called, and no one complains to management. Everyone just stops what they are doing and waits patiently for the screens to flicker back to life. It isn’t resilience or professional calm; it’s a total surrender dressed up as efficiency. We have accepted that the world will occasionally go dark and that we have no power to stop it. It reminds me of the way people used to talk about the weather—something inevitable that you just endure. We are becoming spectators to our own professional failure.
